Spring Beginnings

Here on the farm in northern Alberta, we have had an very mild winter. The snow is almost gone and it's only the end of March.

My wish for today is a few good days of rain so some green will start to appear here and there. Anything's possible this year..."Hope Springs Eternal" as my sister always says...

Flowers of Hawaii

For the past few days I've been trying to learn how to make the beautiful photo Mosaics that I've seen on some lovely blogs. This Is my first mosaic and it contains some of the floral photos I took on our family's trip to Maul in July 2009.

Memories - about a year ago I was on a spring vacation with my daughter. We enjoyed the lovely beginnings in a heritage garden.

One day I plan to paint again so I took a series of pictures to inspire me. It's hard to even think of spring with a fresh blanket of snow...
